This cutoff tool solves two problems in my pottery studio:
1. I have to remake this tool from a new tongue depresser regularly.  The DIY version wears out quickly.
2. I lost my cutoff tool in my water bucket. 
This cutoff tool floats and will never wear out from water damage.  I hope it helps your hump-thrown pottery as it has mine.
